Getting ready to leave

It's time to Go!

We leave on July 28th early in the morning. We will fly to Newark (I can't seem to stay away from that place) and then on to Beijing. It's a relatively short flight to China, only about 14 hours. We are hoping to impress the gate agents in Newark with my ExpressJet ID and get upgraded to first class. I've been told not to hold my breath on that one.

Getting ready has been a challenge. We had a small mountain of paper work to finish after we received our referral. We had to prepare Ella's room. We had to make plans to make sure that Colin and Carleigh are well cared for and entertained. We had to prepare and pack for 18 days in China (Amy is planning on packing peanut butter!). We have Visa's and formal invites from China. It's been the craziest month of our lives. We just can't wait to bring Ella home to meet her brother and sister.
